The new blog!
This is what happens when you have a spare couple of weeks. I regularly follow a series of other blogs by like-minded folks who like to write about their trips (see my new links page) and I’ve been inspired by a number of them to migrate to my blog to a Hosted Wordpress blog – it opens the blog up to a wide range of options. If you’re reading this via RSS or email then click here to see the new blog in all its glory!
What’s New?
In truth, not a lot! All the old content is here but you’ll notice immediately that the blog looks a lot different. I decided to use a dark background as I think photographs look better against a darker background. I’ve added links across the top of the page to our latest photos and another that displays a map of a number of my posts. When you’re reading a post if you see “Show on Map” link at the end of the post then it means there’s a pin in my blog map. Please have a look at it – it’s my pride and joy!
You can also keep tabs of our latest pictures through the link at the top, this will show a slideshow from our latest Flickr album as well as having a link to the main Flickr page with all our pictures on. At the time of writing the current slideshow is Rome.
The Plan

The next trip is booked. We leave on 13 August for Singapore where we will spend a few nights before moving through Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam etc – besically we have no firm plan but we have 10 weeks to do it and a load of Lonely Planet guides! I’ll aim to post whenever I have anything worth saying and make sure I don’t leave it as long, the problem being when I’m up to lots I don’t have as much time to stare at my laptop.
So, that’s it! If you haven’t subscribed yet then use the big button, top right, to ensure you get every update promptly delivered (or enter your email address in the box).
Any comments are always welcome

.-= Aaron´s last blog ..15/06/09 The long long road to Laos. =-.
Call me lazy, but when you put:
“When you’re reading a post if you see “Show on Map” link at the end of the post then it means there’s a pin in my blog map. Please have a look at it – it’s my pride and joy!”
… could you not have put a link to your blog map? You know you have to spoon feed me, I couldn’t find it for aaages! Impressed with the new format though and looking forward to hearing about (and maybe participating in) more adventures of Andy G.
Cheers Aaron,
I have a feeling my stories will be very similar to yours. How was the river tubing?
Kev – What part of “links across the top” was confusing? By the way, Billy (Karen’s Aussie Uncle) is over at the moment, apparently he offered you a ‘wrestle’ on new year’s ever in Sydney!
