Counting down…

It’s been a busy couple of weeks! With ony 20 days to go until we leave to do our five months in Tignes we’re putting the finishing touches to our preparations. It’s basically a long holiday but as the four of us have little snowboarding experience we’ve been buttering up the guys in Snow & Rock who have sorted us out with s decent deal on boards & set ups. Karen & Cazzie have been having lessons but today was the day we all made it to the top of the Chill Factore slope…

It’ll probably be our last chance to master the indoor slope because by the time many of you will be reading this we’ll be in Vegas!

Without question the major topic of conversation and headline news has been the American election where Obama trounced McCain. I’ve said to loads of people that I don’t think the outcome will affect the UK too much but it would have been great for McCain to win just to get more exposure to the fantastic Sarah Palin who has brightened up the campaign by adding glamour and stupidity. If the rumours are to be believed then she will campaign in 2012. If this year’s election is anything to go by we will only have a couple of years to wait before the campaiging starts, should anybody in the Republican party wish to oppose the jittery, inexperienced, highly conservative hillbilly.

As for Obama, it may not affect me but he’s probably the right choice for America; my only issue is that he brought out so many voters who would never have voted before but with this move away from apathy comes a great influx of political ignorance who will jump on the poor sod as soon as he cocks up. I suppose people shoud know that the new White House puppy will grow up to be a big hound but will do a few turds on the carpet along the way.

He does have a job to do, he’s got no chance of being a better President than David Palmer.

The second most talked about subject has been the shocking result of this week’s X-Factor. Poor Laura.

Can’t stop – I’ve got to go to Vegas!

I’ll do my best to blog every few days from the best place on Earth!

Andy
