I write to you from Florida! We have been here in our Villa in Kissimmee for one whole day so far but it feels like we’ve been around for a lot longer. Our flight was at 10.30am Saturday however we were not arriving at the airport in a fit state.
As you’ll know, Dunc and Mel are marrying on Daytona beach next Saturday and due to Dunc’s foreign work commitments his Stag night was Friday night. Andy had arranged a night at Manchester Dogs followed by a cheesy club, Sublime. It was a great night and I’m happy to report nobody held back due to our plans for the following day. Cracking night.
The 8 hour flight to Florida was the longest of my life as I had to stay sober enough to drive at the other end. Not good. Since getting here we did the usual post Transatlantic plan of drinking for as long as possible to avoid jet lag. We ended up at a piano duelling bar doing free shots and befrending Mexicans for tequila. It was then to home and in order to ensure we stayed up for 24 hours we dicked about in the pool until 4am.
Today was our first excursion to a theme park with a brief afternoon trip to Universal Studios; loads to do and we’ll be going back.
Tonight’s plan is for a barbecue and house party in the villa – something we may need to get accustomed to as Hurricane Hanna makes its way over!
