My most productive day in weeks!

Not the best of starts as despite being off work we had scheduled our tasks to coincide with the cricket. It did pick up as my Lonely Planet Guide to the East Coast of Australia turned up. Now, I know we’re only driving from Brisbane to Sydney and the coastline is a bit bigger than that (the book covers Cookstown, north of Cairns to Melbourne) but it still goes into a bit more detail then needed.
For example, if I was writing a guide to Manchester it would probably be along the lines of: -
Day 1 – Get to Sports Bar early, watch the football and then head to Walkabout.
Day 2 – see Day 1.
I think I need to sift through it, ignoring a lot of the National Parks etc. Maybe we’re alone but all we want to do is narrowly miss a kangaroo on the Pacific Highway and stop at a few bays and beaches and get ridiculously drunk. So that’s the next few days at work sorted!

The vast majority of the day however was spent on the nursery hunt. We saw a few today including one in Southport that was so good it’s almost worth having kids for. If they ask you we have a two year old named Jamie who’s still in nappies. We’re moving to Ainsdale and I’m starting a new job just off Lord Street. None of them were for sale, just an undercover factfinding day! Plenty to do.
Played footy – chipped Swanny, very happy.
