Saturday was eventful. Karen was in work so I set myself for a day of sport. The majority of the day was spent watching Lancashire’s fourth day innings against Surrey (via the red button on Sky Sports, marvellous). It was simple – get 480ish and they win the league. It was a monumental effort but [...] So it’s done. I am retired. The day started well, they told me not to turn up until about 10.30am. I then get a text that said: Internet down. Going to be a long day. Don’t bother coming in unless you’re on your way. I get into town at about 11.30am [...] Things going a bit slower over the last couple of days. Tomorrow cannot come quick enough now as there is nothing to do at work. We are reduced to reading the papers and celebrity gossip magazines.There was an interesting article in Closer magazine about a chap who performed his own castration. The article’s about his [...] Not the best of starts as despite being off work we had scheduled our tasks to coincide with the cricket. It did pick up as my Lonely Planet Guide to the East Coast of Australia turned up. Now, I know we’re only driving from Brisbane to Sydney and the coastline is a bit bigger [...] Ok, through lack of much else going on at the moment I thought I’d start a Blog.
